Who We Are

Bridgeway College is the college ministry of Bridgeway Church (meaning, BWCO alone is not a church). We believe a college student's community is not complete with just other students. God has called all of us to be a part of an elder-led congregation to advance the Kingdom.

Bridgeway Church is the result of a merger between two former congregations, Starkville Community Church and Calvary Baptist Church. We have seen God do amazing things through Bridgeway and BWCO. Over the last 6 years, God has grown us from a Sunday School class of 20 college students to a community of almost 400.

What We Do

To put it simply, we focus on three things:

Our Team

  • TRUMAN

    Truman serves as the Next Gen Director at Bridgeway Church, but with his main responsibility being the College Director. Truman is a native of Baton Rouge, LA and attended LSU where he was heavily involved in college ministry. God brought Truman to Starkville in August of 2019 and he has been here ever since! He was married in May 2022 to his wife Emily who is a Mental Health Counselor here in the city!

  • CAMMIE

    Cammie has served with Bridgeway College as the Associate Director for 2 years. Cammie’s job? Keeping everything on track. She comes from Memphis, has roots in Atlanta, but is a graduate of MSU and has lived in Starkville for 8 years! Cammie has been married to her husband Parker since August 2022 who is a teacher and soccer coach at Starkville High School.

  • SUTTON - Intern

    Sutton is a senior at MSU studying psychology. She’ll graduate in May, get married in August, and then begin as the first ever BWCO resident.

  • GRACE - Intern

    Grace is a senior at MSU studying Industrial Engineering. She’ll graduate in May then head to Ft. Worth with her soon to be husband.

  • DAVID - Intern

    David is a senior at MSU studying Civil Engineering. He’ll graduate in May and the move back home to Olive Branch to find a job in CE.

  • JARED - Intern

    Jared graduated in December so he’s technically not an intern anymore…but we love him and wanted to include him. He still lives in Starkville and works at MSU in the PGM program.
